October 19th 10k will finish on the horse track at Golden Gate Fields - BERKELEY, CA.-- Represent Running™ and Brazen Racing™ has formed a unique partnership to celebrate the eclectic East Bay 510 area code. Together, the two companies are co-producing the inaugural Let’s Go 510! - The East Bay’s 10k run and 510Kids Race on October 19th in Berkeley, CA. The 10k race starts and finishes at Berkeley’s own Golden Gate Fields, the only major horse track in Northern California. The course will take runners away from the stadium along the eastern shores of the San Francisco Bay before returning them back to finish inside Golden Gate Fields on the home stretch of the horse track.

After spending two years being known as the man who came agonisingly close to matching the marathon world record, Wilson Kipsang of Kenya broke that record handsomely in Berlin on Sunday morning, clocking 2.03.23, thus taking 15 seconds off compatriot Patrick Makau’s 2.03.38, set in this same race two years ago. In only his second marathon, former world 5000 metres track champion, Eliud Kipchoge finished second in 2.04.05, taking a minute off his debut best; and another Kenyan, Geoffrey Kipsang (no relation) was third in 2.06.26, also a personal best.
