Boston Marathon is the most iconic marathon in the world. It is where, quite frankly, all of this craziness over 26.2 miles, for the masses really started. And, 2015 is opening with the BAA announcing an American field worthy of the races' stature and presence in our sport!
Meb Keflezighi has cemented himself as one of the most significant American marathoners in our sport, a man who races well over cross country, the roads and the track. His AR at 10,000m, from 2001, still sends chills down my spine.
Shalane Flanagan is a runners' runner. Her gut shows out in each and every race. She gave it her all in Boston and Berlin. And she will break 2:20 one day. Her track racing and cross country background show that she is meant for marathon greatness!
Boston week is one of my most important weeks of the year. It will be even more so in 2015.
