Lasitskene, Stefanidi and Felix - PADOVA (ITA): The 31st edition of Meeting internazionale “Città di Padova” (EA Classic) on Sunday will have as top stars Russian high jump world champion Mariya Lasitskene (also with Kamila Licwinko and home Alessia Trost), in pole vault Olympic winner Katerini Stefanidi and in the 200 m US legend Allyson Felix. Women´s 1500 m will have Laura Muir as the top name.

Three-time Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein of Belmont, Mich., has joined the Hansons-Brooks Original Distance project and will be coached by Keith and Kevin Hanson, Brooks Running announced today. Ritzenhein, 34, had previously endorsed Nike since wrapping up his collegiate career at the University of Colorado in 2004. Ritzenhein’s Nike contract expired at the end of 2016.

Blake returns to DL - RABAT (MAR): The african leg of IAAF Diamond League on Sunday in Rabat offers in non-DL 100 m race Jamaican World champion 2011 Yohan Blake against Briton Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake and fast Briton CJ Ujah with Ben Meite from Ivory Coast. There was a huge weight of expectation on the slender shoulders of Olympic 400m champion Wayde van Niekerk in his first international 400m race since his world record run in Rio but he shrugged it off with aplomb as he flew around one lap of the Pontaise stadium in 43.62 at the Athletissima IAAF Diamond league meeting in Lausanne on Thursday (6).

Lasitskene tried at 210, Van Niekerk 43.66 and much more - LAUSANNE (SUI, July 6): Good conditions and a capacity crowd helped make Athletissima 2017 one of the best one-day meetings so far in this year. Athletissima is promising top fights and some season debuts - LAUSANNE (SUI): IAAF Diamond League 2017 continues with Athletissima at the Pontaise Stadium with some special things like Wayde Van Niekerk´s 400 m European debut of the year, Kendricks-Lavillenie-Duplantis in pole vault, Crouser in shot put and outdoor debut of Ivana Spanovic in long jump. Harrison 12.28 highlights Gyulai Memorial - SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR (HUN, July 4): Kendra Harrison produced a stunning 12.28 clocking in the 100m hurdles to equal the 10th quickest time in history at the Istvan Gyulai Memorial. Twelve months after her world record of 12.20, she destroyed a great field with a +0.1 wind. Jasmine Stowers (12.66), Sharika Nelvis (12.69), Kristi Castlin (12.74), Dawn Harper-Nelson (12.74), Sally Pearson (12.76) and Nia Ali (12.83) were behind. The male sprint hurdlers were barely outdone as Omar McLeod won with 12.96, 0.06 short of his world lead.
Stahl superb WL and NR - SOLLENTUNA (SWE, Jun 29): Superb improvement for Daniel Stahl who achieved excellent national record and World lead with 71.29 in discus at the Folksam Grand Prix meet (EA Classic). Ricky Bruch´s former national mark 71.26 was from 1984. Behind him Robert Urbanek 66.73 and Niklas Arrhenius 63.63. Also to note Moroccan Brahim Kaazouzi 3:38.37 in the 1500 m, in women race Serbian Amela Terzic got 4:09.17 ahead of Meryem Akdag 4:09.33. Bianca Salming cleared 186 in high jump and Fanny Roos got 17.84 in shot put. Cornel Fredericks won the 400 m hurdles in 49.80 and Michel Torneus long jump 789 (+3.3, 768 +1.8).

Botswana’s Isaac Makwala was second in 31.44 ahead of South Africa’s Clarence Munyai who set a world U20 best of 31.61 with Pavel Maslak fourth in a Czech record of 31.80. Bolt bade farewell to Ostrava with victory in the 100m in 10.06 (-0.3) ahead of Cuba’s Yunier Perez (10.09) and Jak Ali Harvey (10.26) while Mo Farah won the 10,000m in 27:12.09 from Kenya’s Mathew Kimeli (27:14.43).
