NEW YORK (June 10, 2017) — Three-time defending TCS New York City Marathon champion, Mary Keitany of Kenya, took her second victory in as many appearances at the NYRR New York Mini 10K on Saturday in Central Park, finishing the race in a blistering time of 31:20. The 35-year-old, who crossed the line more than 48 seconds ahead of the rest of the field, has now won her last five consecutive New York Road Runners races and will return on November 5 to go for her fourth consecutive TCS New York City Marathon title.

Syracuse Native Jen Rhines Crowned Masters (Over 40) Champion - ALBANY, N.Y. (June 3, 2017) — The 39th running of the Freihofer's Run for Women 5K, held on the streets of New York’s capital city this morning, featured 3,268 runners, overcast skies and a blazingly fast finish from Sara Hall, 34, from Redding, Calif. Hall came into the race as a marginal second favorite to Aliphine Tuliamuk, 28, originally from Kenya, but these days a U.S. citizen residing in Santa Fe, N.M. After 3.1 miles of racing that was, by turns, aggressive and tactical, Hall proved to be the woman with the wheels, blasting past Tuliamuk with just 25 meters remaining, crossing the finish line two seconds up in a time of 15:49 and taking the first-place prize of $10,000.

Ethiopia’s Girma Bekele Gebre bettered his seventh-place finish from last year by winning the men’s race in 1:04:56 - NEW YORK  (May 20, 2017) - A total of 27,440 runners crossed the finish line at the 2017 Airbnb Brooklyn Half on Saturday, May 20, making it the largest half marathon to date in the United States in 2017.

Local runner completes 100th ultra marathon - SRA Elite teammates Jesse Barragan and Melissa Penwell delivered strong performances in Saturday’s Gold Rush 50k to earn top honors while Carmichael’s Bill Hambrick completed his astonishing 100th ultra marathon.
