Lee Corrigan, CSE President and ORF Executive Director, said, “Bank of the West’s commitment to its community mirrors our mission to have a positive effect on Oakland’s residents. While our event is one day on the calendar, with support from Bank of the West and other corporate partners we can make a permanent impact on people’s lives.”
In its first four years, the event has generated an estimated $12 million in economic impact for the city of Oakland and close to $1 million for local charities.
Registration for this year’s Oakland Running Festival is pacing 49% ahead of last year and CSE anticipates a total field size of 10,000 runners. Competitor magazine’s readers voted the 2013 Oakland marathon as the best marathon in the Pacific West region.
Corporate sponsor and expo vendor opportunities are still available for ORF, including the event’s title sponsor.
