New this year, the Michelob “Ultra Mile” will be featured at Mile 9 of the course and will include fun entertainment, cheer activities and displays. Approximately 25,000 runners and cyclists are expected to participate in the marathon, half-marathon, VW Think Blue Bike Tour and 5K on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 along with 2,000 children taking part in The Aquarium of the Pacific Kids One-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 12. An estimated 50,000 people attend the two-day Health & Fitness Expo while and additional 50,000 attend the Finish Line Festival. The event has raised and donated over $4 million to its official charities since 2005.
