SAN FRANCISCO - (May 16, 2010) - The 99th ING Bay to Breakers 12K, one of the world's largest and oldest footraces, made history on Sunday morning with Lineth Chepkurui of Kenya finishing in 38 minutes, 7 seconds, a pending world record, over the point-to-point 7.46 mile USATF certified course.
ING Bay to Breakers has just announced the 41 elite runners participating in this year’s footrace. The line-up of world champions and world record holders vying for the $25k bonus includes Kenyan Sammy Kitwara, the winner of last year’s ING Battle to the Breakers bonus, who broke course and world-records by finishing in 33:31.

Pac-10 Track & Field Championships Take Place on May 8-9 and May 15-16 at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley
The University of California will be hosting the Pac-10 Track & Field Championships on May 8-9 and May 15-16 at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley. This will be the 80th annual meet for men and the 24th annual meet for women. Multi-event championships in men's decathlon and women's heptathlon will be taking place this weekend, while individual and team titles will be determined on May 15-16.
